Watercolors on Exhibit

Hello Friends and Fans,

My art is showing in two galleries this month.  The above painting of Bonticou Crag (in New Paltz, NY) is part of a two person exhibit of watercolors with Staats Fasoldt at the Family Traditions Gallery and Gift Shop in Stone Ridge, NY.  It is one of three paintings of one of my favorite hiking locations in the New Paltz area.  Bonticou Crag looks out over the Catskills and can be accessed from Spring Farm at the Mohonk Preserve by carriage trails or for those that are sure of foot, by scrambling up the rocks.  The view is stupendous. I am trying to capture the feeling of being on top of world here and in this painting the lovely red the blueberry leaves turn in fall.

I have 19 paintings in the show and it opened on Saturday to a packed house.  Thanks all who came to the opening.  It will be up till Dec. 15th. For more info go to www.familytraditionsstoneridge.com
Family Traditions is a really cool place that has all kinds of interesting multicultural gifts and books and art.  It is also where my Art Play for Adult classes happen.  More about that in future posts.

For those closer to New Paltz, NY the Gray Owl Gallery in New Paltz's Water Street Market is carrying about ten of my paintings, landscapes of the Hudson Valley and my Fall leaf portraits.    Both locations are also selling my prints and new greeting cards.  More about that in my next post.... www.Grayowlgallery.com for more info on that show entitled "Hues and Views of the Hudson Valley"

Can barely keep up with all the newness in my life!!  Did I mention I am now a full time artist and freelance art teacher and no longer working in the schools?
